David Hewlett has appeared in over 100 TV shows and movies so far. He’s best known for his role as Dr. Rodney McKay in Stargate Atlantis, where his portrayal of the brilliant, albeit socially awkward, scientist captivated sci-fi fans. He also appeared in Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Universe. Beyond the Stargate franchise, David starred in the cult sci-fi horror film Cube, and had roles in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Splice, and The Shape of Water and so many more. David has collaborated with stars like Andy Serkis, Hugh Jackman, and Guillermo del Toro.
Beyond acting, David is a talented director and writer, helming projects like A Dog’s Breakfast and Debug. David is also super interested in science, technology, engineering and business in real life, so we have that in common (we’re nerds too).
